Art Paws is Reno's premier pet event of the year! Held each year on the 3rd Sunday in July, 10am-5pm at McKinley Arts & Culture Center Park.

As Artowns only bring your dog day" Art Paws paints a pet-friendly picture of downtown Reno! A fun and unique art themed, canine-friendly, community festival, this free event celebrates canine culture by combining the arts with our animals. More than 70 local vendors, artists and animal aid organizations come together each year to celebrate all things petand help animals in need.

At Art Paws each year, more than five thousand pets and their people, take a stroll down to McKinley Arts and Cultural Center Park, to will frolic along the Truckee River, get their paws read by pet psychics, and admire their own animal art at the FREE Paw Painting booth. Featured artisans display everything from fine jewelry to crystal sculptures, to oils and watercolors and portraits--many with an animal theme. Pet themed jewelry for you and custom collars for Fido are just a few of the most popular aspects of Art Paws. Come to watch the Sparks Police K9 officer demonstration or sign Fido up for one of our pawpular canine contests. Reach out to your inner puppy with the help of a pet psychic. Relax with your K9 best friend, in the shade of the park, to the sounds of the Noteables and other local live musicians.

Dont forget to visit all of the local non-profit animal organizations and vote for your favorite to win the Peoples Choice Award and fetch a third of the proceeds from Art Paws. Satisfy your hunger with treats from our specialty food trucks and quench your thirst at our boneified beer garden, sponsored by Silver Peak Restaurant and Brewery, with more than 20 local craft brews to sample. The rich silent auction and hourly raffles make our event not just about the animals! Anyway, you look at it, Art Paws is a Dog Gone Good Time!

All proceeds from the event will benefit three local non-profit pet organizations. As in previous years, two of the organizations are chosen via grant application and based on need and organizational viability and the third will again be determined at the event via the Peoples Choice Contest. Over the past 15 years, the private organizers have donated more than $100,000 back to the pet rescue non-profit community. The 2015 Art Paws Underdog Grants have been awarded to US Wolf Refuge and Palomino Valley Pet Rescue! You voted for Dog Day in the Park as your 2015 People's Choice grant recipient. In 2015, three pet non-profits were granted a total of more than $12,000.
